The great thing about Healthtrax is many of the same trainers and staff have been there for years. Their team is tried and true...it's like a little family there. LIQUID NIRVANA TO BREAK GROUND ON NEW BUILDING SOON
Liquid Nirvana will submit construction plans to the town this week for their new building on the corner of the first rotary. They recently tore down the old red house that was there. If all goes well, they hope to break ground within the next couple of months. They are looking to name the building and have a few suggestions so far (Clocktower Corner or Nirvana Center), but nothing is final yet. Any ideas? See the building plans for their new location below.
CAR WASH APPROVED ACROSS FROM STOP & SHOP
The town has approved plans for a car wash across from Stop & Shop on Oak Street. Right now, there is an old white house on the corner of Kreiger Lane. The house will be torn down to make way for this new development by Car Wash Services M.D. We are psyched about this...groceries and then car wash...DONE. See a pic of the plan below.
INDOOR ADVENTURE PARK TO OPEN IN MANCHESTER
Urban Air Adventure Park will open this month (mid-January) in Manchester! Opening day is imminent for this new facility in the old Bob's store at 220 Hale Road. They are awaiting final town approvals and will announce an exact date soon, but say it will be this month. They will offer virtual reality, laser tag, a sky rider coaster, ropes course, climbing walls, trampolines and more! Looking forward to checking this out with the kiddos.

5. CARINI BERRY FARM
- Emotions have run high about this story from the start. There is a possibility Carini Berry Farm will be sold to developers with plans to build houses. This is ongoing so stay tuned.
4. HOPS ON THE HILL BREWERY
- We always say people love beer and it's true! When town officials voted to allow a brewery in S.G. in 2018, the story essentially launched The Scoop into the public eye. It continued to be a hot topic when Hops on the Hill opened this past summer.
3. COTTON HOLLOW KITCHEN
- The closure of Figs and opening of Cotton Hollow Kitchen led to lines out the door for this new South Glastonbury restaurant. People love food too!
2. HARTFORD BAKING COMPANY
- The fan favorite - Hartford Baking Company - out of West Hartford announced plans to come to Glastonbury and there was much excitement! They will be located in the new building at 400 Hebron Avenue across from the Exit 8 off ramp. Can't wait!
1. WANG PALACE
- This was our #1 story in 2018 and 2019! Wang Palace closed their Glastonbury location and moved to Rocky Hill. It was the end of an era as they say and people were legit sad about it. Find them just over the river in a great new spot!
