BOUTIQUE IN OLD WETHERSFIELD…NEW INTERIOR DESIGN FIRM

HERE’S THE SCOOP…

GOWN AND DRESS RENTAL BOUTIQUE IN OLD WETHERSFIELD

Every now and again we find SCOOP we love that takes us across town lines. In Old Wethersfield, Larissa Linden Lake Lenoci, owner of the already successful Larissa Lake & Co. Salon on Main Street is opening an amazing little boutique down the street. Linden at Larissa Lake will feature gown and dress rentals (similar to online services), but clients can see and try on dresses, stylish, yet comfortable clothing, resort wear (year round), and brightly colored, gorgeous jewelry! Gown and dress rental prices range from $49 to $250. We got a sneak peak inside and it’s a dream. They plan to open at the end of the month. Visit and tell them we sent you.

LULUWAX GLASTONBURY NEW OWNERS, NEW LOCATION

Glastonbury resident, Beverly Casdia, has purchased Luluwax Glastonbury and moved the business to a new, quaint location on School Street in the center of town. The wax and skincare boutique offers all types of waxing services, facials, and microdermabrasion. Their new space is bright and homey and features vintage style furniture (some of which is nearly 100 years old – so cool, right?). Find out more about what they do here.

NEW INTERIOR DESIGN FIRM

Morgen Carillo has launched her own interior decorating and design firm, Morgen Carillo Interiors. Many of you may have already seen her work. Two years ago, her house on Main Street was part of The Historical Society of Glastonbury House Tour. She transformed the gorgeous old colonial (with the American flag painted on the barn in back) into a beautiful, yet practical space for her family of five. Morgen truly has a natural talent for designing and decorating. Check out some before and after photos of her work below and find her on Instagram.

BREWERY CONSTRUCTION UNDERWAY

Renovations of the old tobacco barn that will soon be Hops on the Hill Farm Brewery have started. The brewery located off Dug Road in South Glastonbury is expected to open sometime in the Spring of 2019. We just love some of the recent pictures they shared including a sneak peak of the old beams inside the barn and a line up of their pilot brews. Can’t wait to say CHEERS!

WEALTH MANAGEMENT FIRM OPENS

Jenny Bergeron recently opened Athene Wealth Management in Eric Town Square. They offer a range of financial services. But their name struck a chord with us. Athena is the Goddess of Courage and Wisdom (Athene is the masculine version). Bergeron wants her clients to have courage to make financial decisions and the wisdom to know they are the right decisions for them. Check out their website for more information.
