FEATURED SCOOP: C’EST LA VIE DAY SPA IS A GEM IN PLAIN SIGHT
You have probably seen it. The little white cape house across from the post office on New London Turnpike? This is where you will find C’est La Vie Day Spa, where we experienced, first hand, the magic of owner, Karine Wielock. The French-born esthetician, is an expert in her field and it shows in the face of every client who walks through her door. We saw results after ONE facial. Amazing, right?! There are multiple treatments offered at the spa, including facials, peels, waxing, therapeutic massage, botox and cosmetic fillers (administered by a doctor). SOUTH GLASTONBURY BREWERY COMING ALONG!
We were recently super excited to see the progress of the Hops on the Hill Brewery off Dug Road in South Glastonbury. The old tobacco barn is under renovation and looks awesome! It has such a cool, vintage feel. We can’t wait until they open so we can hang there and drink some beers with friends. They also just released their line of apparel. Follow them on Facebook and Instagram for a pop-up swag sale. Their timeline for opening the brewery is this summer. ODDS AND ENDS…
*A request by the owners of Square Peg Pizza to open the old drive through window at their new location on Hebron Avenue passed. You won’t be able to order through the window though. They will use it for take-out orders only. Super convenient. They are aiming to open by May.
*Meadowbrook Estate in Marlborough will host a Spring Retreat May 3rd to 5th. The weekend includes accommodations, farm-to-table meals, yoga, hiking, meditation, and spa offerings. For more information or to book, click HERE.
*The East Glastonbury Library (the cute, little red building next to Eastbury School) will hold their Annual Sale March 23rd from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. They are selling used books, games and puzzles, homemade baked goods, gently used household items, home décor, toys, jewelry and more. It’s $10 to get in early. Call 860.633.5637 for more info. All of the money goes to the library.
