FEATURED SCOOP: F45 WORKOUT IS HIGH ENERGY AND LOTS OF FUN
When you walk in to a place like F45 Training, you might think it would be intimidating, but it’s the complete opposite. Trainers and staff are friendly and attentive and fellow members follow suit. It’s that familial atmosphere that makes F45 a place you want to workout. Glastonbury residents, Tim and Erin Button opened the franchise in May and have enjoyed the camaraderie that’s evolved through this unique workout. F45 originated in Australia and grew rapidly around the world. It means functional (F) training in 45 minutes (45). Amazing – who has time for more than that?! Workouts combine high-intensity interval training with circuit and functional training. Each workout, with names like Firestorm, Athletica, Romans and Hollywood, is laid out for you on TV screens that show you the exercises and how to do them. Trainers are there to motivate and help you with your form. Saturdays include a LIVE DJ and SHE. IS. AWESOME. Check out the video below for a taste of what it’s like to take a class.
