HARRY'S PIZZA TO CLOSE IF THEY CAN'T FIND BUYER
We recently spoke with the owners of Harry's Pizza about their future. Sadly, Mark Mahoney told us they had to close when COVID hit because they were grappling with some health problems and couldn't risk it. It's been a difficult time for them. They are on the brink of closure if they don't find a buyer. We announced this on social media last week and had quite the response from people interested in buying. So...STAY TUNED!
NEW RESTAURANT NOW OPEN ON OTHER SIDE OF FERRY LANDING
There are new owners of the old Shad Row across from the Glastonbury/Rocky Hill Ferry. Ferry Park Grill is now OPEN and has some delicious offerings. They are patio-only and a great spot to bring the kiddos and sit outside (lots of space for them to run free). The ferry opens June 20th at 10:30 AM!
COOL NEW RESTAURANT OPENING IN OLD WETHERSFIELD
There is a fun new restaurant opening soon in Old Wethersfield (one of our favorite areas). The Charles will be located in a newly renovated old house at 161 Main Street. We just love their tag line: Vintage Feel. Modern Taste and can't wait to see what they will offer. *Registration is now OPEN for the Glastonbury Youth Football Association's Fall Youth Tackle Football & Cheer. Tackle football is open to grades 2-8 and Cheer is open to grades 1-8. Click HERE to register.
*La Villa Louisa in Bolton is now offering Car Hop Service in their parking lot. There will be fried seafood, burgers, and grilled sausage to order. They will bring it straight to your car (old school!). There will also be a DJ playing oldies music. We kind of love everything about this! Find more info on their Facebook page.
*The Hillandale Garden Club is hosting a plant sale at The Old Cider Mill on Saturday, June 20th from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. They will have a huge selection of perennials for sale and accept cash and cards.
