PLANS IN THE WORKS TO REVIVE GOLF LAND

Connecticut Golf Land in Vernon was a popular family attraction for five decades before it closed in 2014. Now, there are plans to revive the venue! A proposal with renderings of a new facility were submitted to the town for review a few weeks ago. It's unclear if they will keep the same name, but the owners plan to put up a new building and offer additional entertainment. See pics below.

THE PLACE 2 BE OPENS SECOND LOCATION IN HARTFORD

If you haven't had a chance to check out The Place 2 Be in Hartford yet...you must visit their new location in Constitution Plaza. It's like a wonderland of food innovations. Their plates and drinks are near works of art...no lie. So is their new space! It looks like so much fun on Insta that we could hang all day with them. But instead, we are making plans to visit and test out one of their famous tubs (literally a mini bathtub) filled with a cocktail (because why not?!). We'll just leave a few examples to entice you below!

DO-GOOD SCOOP...

FOODSHARE SUPPORT STILL NEEDED

If there is one thing this pandemic has taught people, it's nothing is certain. But to face that uncertainty about how you will feed your family everyday? Unimaginable. Each week, thousands of families are grappling with this new reality. Foodshare has been distributing food to families in need at Rentschler Field for months. Through the end of October, they are offering food 3 days per week (Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays) from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM. They are always in need of donations, perhaps now more than ever as we head into the holiday season. If you are interested in volunteering, visit www.foodshare.org.

*Plus, Millstream Construction, is helping support this cause by donating $250 to Foodshare for every roof replacement that is booked in October and November. Call them for a FREE quote 860.854.1954!
