SHOPS ON MAIN RECAP….HIGH END MOVIE THEATER IN W. HARTFORD

HERE’S THE SCOOP…

NEW BUILDING UP AT SHOPS ON MAIN

The 2nd building at the Shops on Main next to McDonald’s is coming along. There will eventually be four buildings on that site. Last month, the Town Plan and Zoning Commission approved a more than 10-thousand square foot building as part of the development. There will be a restaurant (we think Mission BBQ – see below), Aspen Dental, and a vet. In a few short weeks, we will reveal one of the tenants of the newest building…a SECOND location for an already popular spot in town. See below for the initial drawing of this entire site to get an idea of what it will look like when complete.

WEST HARTFORD MOVIE THEATER TO GO HIGH END

Grab your friends for some serious fun in West Hartford! The movie theater in Blue Black Square is currently undergoing renovations to make it a high end theater…Cinepolis Luxury Cinemas. There will be reclining seats, push button waiter service from the seats or an app, and upscale concessions. Sounds amazing! They plan to reopen this summer.

NEWINGTON CHIROPRACTOR OPENS OFFICE IN TOWN

Damato Chiropractic Center in Newington recently opened a location in South Glastonbury. This is NOT the same owner as the Hebron Avenue chiropractic office with the same name. Dr. Eric Damato has a location in Newington, but recently opened this satellite location at 1420 Main Street. They offer everything from chiropractic care, to massage, and exercise therapy. Find them HERE.

CHAMBER FUNDRAISER TO HELP PREVENT SUICIDE

It’s the third year for the CT River Valley Chamber fundraiser, Bids, Bites, & Beer. The event, on April 25th at the Holiday Inn in East Hartford, will help benefit the Jordan Porco Foundation. Parents, Ernie and Marisa Porco lost their son, Jordan, to suicide 8 years ago, when he was a freshman in college. They have made it their mission to help prevent suicide, promote mental health, and create a message of hope for young adults. The statistics are startling…suicide is the SECOND leading cause of death among people ages 10 to 24. Click HERE for tickets.
