THE NELSON SHOP…THE FRESH MONKEE OPENING SECOND LOCATION

HERE’S THE SCOOP…

FEATURED SCOOP: THE NELSON SHOP’S LINE OF MERCHANDISE PROMOTES KINDNESS

Allison Nelson wants to spread kindness and positivity one t-shirt and coffee mug at a time. The Brooklyn, New York native (now local) recently launched her spring line of products from The Nelson Shop. The online store features the softest t-shirts you’ll ever feel (they have suede in them…uh-mazing!), coffee mugs, hats, and bags with unique sayings like ‘Rule the Roost’, ‘Pretty Powerful’, ‘It’s Been a Long Day’, ‘Mama’s Heart’ , and our personal favorite ‘Yes You Can’. Allison and her husband created the online shop as a space where everything comes from love. In her words, “You should wake up every day and act out of love.” We just “LOVE” that! The tenets of her mission: INCLUSION, KINDNESS, LOVE, and LAUGHTER. Follow her on social media (Facebook/Instagram) to see her line of goods and join her movement of making the world a better place.

SECOND LOCATION FOR POPULAR SHAKE SHOP

The Fresh Monkee is opening shop #2 in town. They will be one of the tenants in the new building at the Shops on Main next to McDonald’s. They also have a location next to The Coffee Shop in the center. This will be their 6th location! How exciting for owner, Judy Flynn, who started the business in a small space in Wethersfield just six years ago! They have a loyal customer following with lots of love for their many different flavors of protein shakes. If you haven’t tried one…stop in and tell them we sent you. Our fave is the Chunkee Monkee = HEAVEN.

*This recently caught our eye when we were visiting Athleta in Westfarms. They sell Empower Pads! These are bra inserts for women who have had a mastectomy. And, they sell them AT COST to help support those who are going through this difficult transition in their life. We just love that and wanted to share.
