DO-GOOD SPOTLIGHT...

GLASTONBURY WOMAN HAS RAISED TENS OF THOUSANDS FOR CANCER RESEARCH

Glastonbury resident, Carol Fishman started volunteering and fundraising for the American Cancer Society's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer to help remember the mother of her two stepsons who died from the disease. She has since had family and friends who have either been diagnosed with or died from cancer, but she continues the fight, urging those around her to get screened and know their family history. Over the years, she has helped raise $77,000 to help support research and education, patients, and access to care for those in need. This year, the Making Strides event will be different, but Carol will be there and she hopes you will too! Sunday, October 4th, there will be a pink parade from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at Founders Plaza in East Hartford. To participate or donate, click HERE.
