WANG PALACE MOVING…ANN TAYLOR CLOSING

HERE’S THE SCOOP…

FAVORITE RESTAURANT LEAVING TOWN

Many will be sad to hear that Wang Palace is moving to Rocky Hill! The long standing restaurant, which has a cult-like following, has been in Glastonbury for 25 years. Sai, the owner, admits the move is bittersweet. He says they have purchased a building at 1914 Silas Deane Highway across from Kohl’s. The space will undergo complete renovations before the move and will have a bigger bar area for patrons. They will be in their new location by the end of this year. There is a drawing of the new exterior and signage below.

We covered a story about this plaza a few weeks ago. To refresh your memory, all businesses must move. There is no known deadline yet for them to move. We are still waiting to hear about new locations for Liquid Nirvana and Bollywood. We have heard both will stay in town.

CLOTHING STORE LEAVING SOMERSET

Ann Taylor in The Shops at Somerset Square will CLOSE at the end of August. The popular clothing store has been in the plaza for years, but will close by August 25th. A sign in the store says they hope customers will visit their Westfarms location. We are waiting to hear back from Somerset about what might go in that space.
