WHAT JENNIFER LOOS WANTS WOMEN TO KNOW ABOUT PELVIC HEALTH

When physical therapist Jennifer Loos started her own practice, Worthy of Wellness Physical Therapy, she knew she would focus mainly on women's pelvic health. With 14 years of outpatient orthopedic and pelvic health experience, Jennifer has expertise and an empathetic nature for treating a wide variety of women's health issues. Women's pelvic health is not something women openly talk about, but it can, and should be treated! If you experience URINARY LEAKAGE, PAIN DURING SEX, or PAIN DURING OR AFTER PREGNANCY...LISTEN UP LADIES...this is NOT normal. The stats are quite staggering: 1. Of the 25 million adult Americans suffering from incontinence, 75-80% of them are women (raise your hand if you pee yourself while exercising!). 2. At 6 months postpartum, more than 20% of women complain of of pain during sex (75% of women experience pain during sex at some point in their lifetime - YIKES). Jennifer works with patients to identify what is happening within their bodies and pelvic floor muscles, creates an individualized plan of care and alleviates symptoms to improve function and quality of life. Some of her patients have experienced truly life-changing results in as little as one session. She offers private, one-on-one sessions and is currently taking on new patients. SHARON MCCORMICK IS HELPING PRESERVE HISTORY AT THE MARK TWAIN HOUSE

Since 2002, Sharon McCormick has been helping clients transform their space. She started Sharon McCormick Design after renovating her circa 1730 home in Durham, CT. Now she is using her own design expertise and her business to help those in need and to preserve history. She donated her time and talents to the Make-A-Wish Foundation when a recipient wanted their room designed. And, just last year, she joined the planning committee for the Mark Twain House & Museum's annual fundraising gala. The national historic landmark was hit hard by the pandemic (their main source of income was tours and events). But, planning is now underway for the gala this fall and Sharon is asking for donations for the live and silent auctions. To participate, email her at Sharon@sharonmccormickdesign.com
