THE STORY OF INFOSHRED AND THEIR DECADES OF GROWTH

Stacey Lombardo is a natural entrepreneur. It's in her blood actually. Her dad, Sam Lombardo, started a waste-management business that he built from the ground up. When he realized there was a need for document shredding, he offered it as an additional service in response to customer demand, but when he sold the business, he sold the document shredding to Stacey. That's when InfoShred was born....with just 2 people and 1 industrial shredder. 35 employees and 3,000 customers later, the company now shreds documents for all types of businesses and organizations! Most recently, they added e-recycling (computer recycling), and home-based shredding (disposal of personal documents). The company is known for their awareness of confidentiality and unsurpassed customer service. Stacey is a true leader, instilling core values in her employees: 1. TAKE PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY, 2. SHOW MUTUAL RESPECT, 3. DO THE RIGHT THING, AND 4. COME TO WORK WITH A CAN-DO ATTITUDE. She offers many incentives and treats her employees like family. A REFRESH FOR HARRY'S PIZZA

Harry's Pizza has reopened under new ownership. Eric Lee and his fiance, Crystal Lyle are excited to bring the same Harry's recipes back to the community. They held their grand opening this past Friday. This has been one of the most asked about stories since their closure during the quarantine, so we are happy to report this awesome news and can't wait to order our old favorite: Jalepeno-Pepperoni pizza!

THE BLIZZARDS ARE COMING TO GLASTONBURY

Last week, we reported on social media that Dairy Queen will take over the former Boston Market space on Main Street. This was the biggest news for our followers since the reopening of TJMaxx and Marshalls post-quarantine. People LOVE Dairy Queen!!! They are currently building out the space and seem to be on a fast track to opening. Stay tuned for a date!

THE SALAD BAR OPENS SECOND LOCATION

The Salad Bar is NOW OPEN (woohoo) in the Griswold Mall next to Subway. We have been waiting for this moment seemingly forever. The space is gorgeous and we have heard amazing things about their offerings including a dressing called LAVACADO (siracha, avocado and ranch mixed together - only 3 of our favorite things EVER!). Owner Marc Vojic is a 1998 GHS grad and had the idea for the business while at a self-serve salad bar. We can't wait to test them out. See their menu HERE.

DO-GOOD SCOOP...

Every dollar raised through her foundation, Breast Friends Fund, goes straight to research. This year, there are SO many ways to help her. Click HERE to see a list of events.
