BEAUTIFUL NEW SPACE FOR FULLER YOGA…FEARLESS FITNESS COMING TO COMMERCE

HERE’S THE SCOOP…

FULLER YOGA MOVING TO GLEN LOCHEN

Doesn’t yoga in a treehouse sound amazing?! Well, it will soon feel that way for Fuller Yoga fans. The yoga studio is moving to new space in the triangle-esque point of Glen Lochen. It’s a striking location from both the inside and outside. The space is currently being transformed and they plan to open there July 1st. Owner, Justine Fuller says the new location will have more space for yoga, their signature yoga wall, pilates, and a new, infrared sauna (beneficial for all kinds of ailments). It’s very peaceful and we can’t wait to get our Om on in this lovely space. Get a sneak peak during their pop-up yoga class June 1st 3:00 to 5:00 PM. Check their website for details.

NEW GYM RENOVATING SPACE ON COMMERCE

A new gym is coming to Commerce Street. Fearless Fitness will open at 98 Commerce Street in former office space in a building next to The Irish American Home. This will be the 4th location for owner, Brandon Rocco, who started in West Hartford and has grown rapidly in just two years. He says Fearless Fitness has a devoted following because of their dynamic trainers and 50 minute workouts that include boot camp and CrossFit type exercises. They will open July 1st with many promotional offerings. Keep your eyes peeled HERE.

STATE-OF-THE-ART DUNKIN’ OPENS IN EAST HARTFORD

There is a new, high-tech Dunkin’ just over the line on Main Street in East Hartford. The “Next Generation” of the coffee shop chain offers some exciting new perks. The modern layout includes innovative technologies…an on-the-go mobile order station, coffee on tap, and a cozy fireplace. Plus…donuts that delight! Stop in and see for yourself!

ORGANIZATION FEEDS HEALTHY MEALS TO ILL PATIENTS

Three years ago, four women banded together to offer families grappling with serious illness (mainly cancer) healthy meals during treatment. Healing Meals Community Project has since delivered 37,000 meals to 300 clients in Greater Hartford and currently has a waiting list for their services…QUITE. THE. FORCE. They use youth volunteers 14 and up (with adult mentors and an executive chef) to help cook 100% organic meals and deliver them to patients and their families every week for 12 weeks. Recently, they partnered with Whole Foods Market to sell some of their meals in-store. One dollar for every pound purchased from the meals will be donated to the organization by Whole Foods Market. Look for them in the Glastonbury location and buy a meal to help support their life-changing mission.
