SALON TO OPEN RETAIL SHOP
Strand Salon is renovating space and creating a boutique style store. Strand Store and Apothecary will carry a natural makeup line, unique health and beauty products, apparel, jewelry, and accessories, and a men’s line of products. The store’s grand opening is Tuesday, May 1st. Guests who book an appointment for that day will receive a complimentary Kerastase treatment.
COUNTRY CLUB OPENS FOR SEASON
The golf course and restaurant at Glastonbury Hills Country Club are open for the season! The club opened last week just in time for warmer temperatures over the weekend. The Tavern will be open limited hours to start.
FARM TO OFFER FIRST MUSIC EVENT
Wind Hill Community Farm will hold it’s first music event this summer! The farm, off Hebron Avenue in East Glastonbury, will host The Cartell’s Band and have food trucks for a night of music and fun with a beautiful view of the Connecticut River Valley. NEW COFFEE SHOP TO OPEN IN GLEN LOCHEN
A new coffee and dessert shop is opening in Glen Lochen. The space is currently being renovated, but the sign says RaonJena Coffee & Dessert is coming soon. Stay tuned for more details!
SMITH BROTHERS BUYS GROTON AGENCY
Smith Brothers Insurance has purchased Bailey Agencies Insurance of Groton. Around since 1890, the insurance company has been run by the Scott Family since 1980. They have moved operations to the Smith Brothers office in Niantic. Smith Brothers is headquartered in Glastonbury, but is a top broker throughout Connecticut, Massachusetts, and New Jersey.
BEAUTIFUL NEW SPACE FOR BARRE AND YOGA STUDIO
Glastonbury Barre and Yoga is now in their new location at 30B Hebron Avenue across from Ken’s Corner, next to Down to Earth Tea and Coffee House. They will hold an Open House May 6th. Take a look at their gorgeous new studio!
