HERE’S THE SCOOP…
There are two fundraisers in town this weekend aimed at making a difference in the lives of seriously ill children.
Imagine for a moment having a child with a serious illness. It cuts to the very core of everything you hold near and dear. There are thousands of families dealing with this unimaginable scenario and doing it with strength and grace.
Hair Today owners, Mike and Jane Ski are holding their 2nd Annual CUTS for CAMP, BRAIDS for BANDITS fundraiser. All proceeds go to The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp. Last year, the salon helped raise enough money to send three seriously ill children to camp for one week!
Join them this Saturday from 12:00-4:00 PM. There will be $10 haircuts or braids (NO APPOINTMENT NECESSARY), endless entertainment, including face painting, balloon figures, a caricature artist, photo shoots, a DJ and more! Also, a silent auction, raffle baskets, and food from The Simple Greek. Don’t miss it!
M.E.L.T. Fitness Studio owner, Joe Carabase, has been helping cancer patients for the last three years. During his 4th Annual Melt-A-THON at Riverfront Park this Saturday, he hopes to raise enough money to give 7-year old Kyle Ashley a new leg that will allow him to run, jump, ride his bike, and play sports!
Teams will compete in a workout to help raise the money. Their goal is to raise $30,000. They are closing on $20,000, but need your help! The event is Saturday from 8:00-10:00 AM. Come out, flip some tires, and kick cancer’s butt for this brave little boy!
