EL POLLO GUAPO OPENING SECOND LOCATION
El Pollo Guapo in Wethersfield recently announced they will open a second location in Hartford. The Glastonbury-based couple who owns the restaurant has a cult-like following because of their fresh, savory Mexican food. They will soon open a space on Front Street in Hartford next to Infinity Hall and across from Spotlight Theatres. What a great night out…Mexican and a movie or concert perhaps? The couple also owns Mercado food truck (a favorite at the Riverfront Summer Concert Series and events around the state). Check back with us for an opening date. Below are some photos from El Pollo Guapo’s Wethersfield location.
GLASTONBURY COUPLE OPENS DONUT SHOP IN WEST HARTFORD
Glastonbury residents, Irene and Cesar Luaices will open Donut Crazy in West Hartford Center this Wednesday on Farmington Avenue near Luna Pizza. The family of five welcomed customers into their decadent shop this past weekend. How great is their motto? CRAFTED WITH LOVE. COVERED IN CRAZY. It’s part of what drew the Luaices to open the franchise…they knew it was special. So special, in fact, that they moved their family from Boston to Glastonbury so they could open the West Hartford franchise. Reading the names of the donut offerings made our mouth water…Blueberry Cake…Cereal…French Toast…Birthday Cake…Pumpkin Pop-Tart. We are definitely making the trip to taste these delightful creations. GLASTONBURY RESIDENT RELEASES SECOND BOOK FOR KIDS
Glastonbury resident Brook Aiello recently released her second children’s book. The educational series teaches children about tolerance. The idea for the books came to her after writing a poem about her childhood experiences and the anxiety she had as a result. Her first edition, about 10 children, with different issues, had great success and is making a difference for children around the world. Some of the things covered include ADHD, anxiety, down syndrome, gender identity, and hearing impaired students. Her new book introduces 10 new children to Miss Brooke’s classroom. Find this unique story HERE.
