GET TO KNOW THE APEX AT THIS FREE EVENT
When Glastonbury resident, Mark Blancato decided to open The Apex, he wanted to provide a place for athletes to strength train, condition, and get better at their sport. Since then, the facility has expanded their offerings. It's not only a favorite of multiple local sports teams to train athletes and participate in sports clinics, but also now a popular spot for exercise classes during the day. They offer a full gym, small group workout classes, batting cages, turf, and now virtual golf. This coming Saturday, you will have a chance to check it out during their Just For the Health of It event. They will have several health-related vendors showcasing all things health (see vendor list below). You will also be able to tour the facility and check out what they offer. Plus, some goodies: FREE health screenings, fitness challenges, B12 shots, giveaways and more. It's this Saturday, November 6th from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at The Apex (60 Village Place). Pop in and find out all the ways they can help you and your family get fit!
THE CODE EXPANDS TO SECOND LOCATION
The CODE (Center of Dance Excellence) recently opened a second location on Oakwood Drive in the old WOW Spin space. We just love the owner, Eduardo Vazquez... his passion for teaching his students the art of dance shines through in everything he does. Eduardo was a dancer with Cirque du Soleil before settling in Glastonbury
and he has brought that competitive level of dance to town. Some of his students are hoping to follow in his footsteps! Even more exciting...next summer (July 2022), his team is dancing in the Disney Parade! (How great is that?!) They offer all kinds of classes for any level. To see more, click HERE.
2400 MAIN GRAND OPENING EVENT
We are excited to announce our collaboration with 2400 Main for their Grand Opening Gathering event in celebration of their soon-to-be new location. They are moving from the basement of the yellow house on the corner of Main and Hebron to the first floor. This means more space and more gorgeous home decor choices (GIVE US MORE!). The event is November 18th from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. There will be hidden gift cards from local businesses throughout the store, fantastic giveaways from DeRosa Fine Diamonds, Make Food Lovely, Blooms Flower Truck. Plus, delicious bites, and LIVE music from the talented, famed musician, Joey Concepcion. Don't have FOMO...round up your besties and GET THERE!
HOT YOGA STUDIO TAKING TO FORMER DESIGNED TRAINING SPACE
Om Glastonbury Wellness Center is taking over the former Designed Training space on Oakwood Drive next to My Gym. This is the old Bikram Yoga Glastonbury which was purchased by Om in February of 2020. Owner, Kat Walinski is excited to bring this back to town. She is currently doing some minor renovations to the space and plans to OPEN in February of 2022. Stay tuned for details about class offerings and a look at the interior when she is done!
