STUMPY'S HATCHET HOUSE FOR YOUR NEXT EVENT...LIMELIFE'S MARY KAY DUFFY-KEMPER'S INCREDIBLE STORY

HERE’S THE SCOOP…

PLAN YOUR PARTY AT STUMPY'S HATCHET HOUSE

*FREE promo for Scoop followers*

Winter is coming and that means you need some ideas for indoor fun...are we right?! If you haven't checked out Stumpy's Hatchet House in Manchester, listen up! Owners, Nicholas and Sharon Toth and Rick Weiss opened Stumpy's in November of 2020 to provide an outlet for recreation and entertainment. If you don't know what a hatchet house is...well, it's a place to throw hatchets. This caveman-esque activity has become a unique, interactive way for men and women to socialize and have fun. We've never tried it, but hatchet throwing sounds incredibly satisfying...getting a bullseye must be the ultimate gratification! It's bring-your-own food, but they recently added a bar with beer and wine. And, while you wait to throw, you can play one of their giant interactive games such as Jenga and Checkers! If you BOOK NOW and mention The Scoop, you will get an additional FREE hour (parties of 6 or more only). With event season coming up, why not plan now for your team building event, holiday party, birthday bash, bachelor party, or a night out with whoever! HOW LIMELIFE CHANGED MARY KAY DUFFY-KEMPER'S LIFE

Eight years ago, Mary Kay Duffy-Kemper took a brave step. She signed on as the very first Beauty Guide for the skincare brand, LimeLife by Alcone. She was on the verge of a major life change personally and didn't know what the future held. But her friends and neighbors in Glastonbury encouraged, applauded, and supported her along the way. LimeLife has since grown to a more than $100 million dollar a year brand with thousands of Beauty Guides around the world. Mary Kay has been at the top bringing in multiple six figures during her time with the company. Although she has moved out of state, Mary Kay is grateful for those who were there from the start. To say thank you, she is hosting her First Annual LimeLife Customer Appreciation Event for this town that told her SHE COULD! This Thursday evening, her customers are invited to learn tips and tricks on how to look and feel beautiful. You can tune in LIVE on Facebook to learn more about the brand and products or contact Mary Kay to be connected to a local Beauty Guide (860.989.1408) and get started on your LimeLife journey.

NEW HOT YOGA STUDIO COMING TO TOWN

The story of how Alec and Sophia Medeiros made the decision to open a new hot yoga studio in town is one of fate for sure! The couple met at the old Bikram Yoga (now closed), fell in love, and later married. After living in Florida for several years, they recently moved home to be closer to family. Their new studio, Glastonbury Hot Yoga will OPEN in February of 2022 in the space next to Empowered Cycling Studio. It's the building behind the One Stop Plaza on New London Turnpike (access from Sycamore Street). Alec (a GHS grad) will be running the studio full-time and Sophia will be an instructor when she is not working at her full time job. The studio will feature infrared heat panels which are cleaner and safer than other heat sources. Classes will include the well-known hot yoga, yin yoga, and eventually vinyasa yoga. They are super excited to bring this to town and we are excited for them. Give them a follow on Facebook or Instagram to show your support and give them a big WELCOME HOME!

TIFFANY-JULIET HOUSE ADDING TWO NEW EVENT VENUES ON NAUBUC AVENUE

The owner of the Tiffany-Juliet House recently got approval from the town to change the use of two residential properties on Naubuc Avenue into event venues. They are located at 83 and 97 Naubuc Avenue. We have long thought that there needs to be more options for events so we are pretty pumped about this. This will allow owner, Corrine Crocker-Luby to host larger events such as weddings for about 100 people. Stay tuned for more details and a timeline!
