REAL ESTATE BROKER CARL GUILD EXPANDS INTO GLASTONBURY
Carl Guild started his own real estate brokerage four years ago when he realized he could better serve his agents. There is no corporate structure so Carl was able to simplify, become more efficient and productive, and have agents compensated more fairly. When he thought about opening an office in Glastonbury, he called local realtor Wendy Lang because of her expertise about the town. Wendy has been in the biz since 2007 and is a total gem...a down-to-earth, relatable, easy-to-be-around type of gal. She has helped Carl with the opening of this new location (Carl Guild & Associates) at 131 Hebron Avenue in the brick building to the left of the rotary as you are heading into town. FUN FACT: Carl has his own moving truck for clients to use when they sign on with him. It's also available to local non-profits and community groups for use FREE OF CHARGE. CLOTHING BOUTIQUE NOW OPEN ON MAIN STREET
We are super excited for this new boutique NOW OPEN on Main Street in the center of town! Gotta Have It is a women's clothing store that has SO MANY cute sweaters, blouses, jeans, leggings, kimonos, and accessories...talk about filling a need in town! Owner, Debbie Shane sold hair care for more than two decades before transitioning into fashion. She started opening pop ups inside salons with clothing and accessories. Her focus is on women-owned, American-made businesses and she loves anything that is recycled or upcycled. Check out her Instagram to see some of her offerings and hours.
NEW SPA OPENS THIS WEEK
Eliana Glastonbury (A Del Soul Spa) OPENS THIS WEEK on New London Turnpike in the house across from the post office. Owners Katie Kiss and Heather Petra are cousins who also own Del Soul Spa in Newington. Their new Glastonbury spa has a vintage, comfy and cozy vibe to help clients feel like they are relaxing at home in their own living room. We love that this new spot is centrally located near all the restaurants in G (perfect for a girls day, bachelorette, wedding party, or day out with mom). They offer facials, massage, waxing, and their own holistic practitioner. This Thursday is the GRAND OPENING. They are also having an open house Saturday from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. *The Shoppes at Somerset Square has been sold to new owners. JLL is an international real estate company that owns properties around the globe. The sale comes amid a report that the property was in foreclosure. We are hoping they do great things with the empty spaces that are there!
