DR. JENNY CHA'S NEW OPTOMETRY PRACTICE...PLUS, LANGAN NOW SERVICING AUDI

HERE’S THE SCOOP…

GLASTONBURY RESIDENT AND MOM OPENS PRIVATE OPTOMETRY PRACTICE

If there ever was an American Dream....THIS. IS. IT! The story of Dr. Jenny Cha is inspiring and emotional mixed with a bit of badassery. Jenny is a true bundle of smarts and sweetness. She recently opened her own private optometry practice, OculusDocs, in the new and stunning Offices at Addison Square. Her back story is nothing short of impressive. Born in Germany to Korean parents, the family later moved to Canada with...NOTHING...to pursue a better life. Her parents worked tirelessly, saved money, and supported their kids every step of the way: Putting them through college, helping them with first cars, apartments, weddings, down payments on their homes, and even the start of this new business (Not because it was needed, but JUST BECAUSE!). Jenny recently became a U.S. Citizen voting for the very first time at the age of 50! The expectation from her parents when she was young was that she would be a lawyer or a doctor. But as an extremely nearsighted teen, her eye doctor is the one who gave her sight and she never forgot how he talked about of his love for his practice. Jenny has the ability to look at someone during an eye exam and detect if further examination is needed for conditions such as high blood pressure, diabetes, and cholesterol. That's because it's the one exam where you can non-invasively see what blood vessels look like. Hence the new tagline of OculusDocs: "WELLNESS THROUGH EYE CARE". She offers state-of-the-art technology and her new space is GORGY GORG. It feels like happiness and showcases a dream. Check it out below or click HERE to learn more about becoming a patient.

We are super excited to introduce our new summer intern, Anna Breen! Anna is going into her Senior year at Providence College majoring in psychology and marketing. She loves marketing, advertising, and event planning (Ummm, would you look at that...we are a match made in heaven!) Anna was born and raised in Glastonbury and works as a server/bartender at Maggie McFly's. She hopes to expand her networking and communication skills this summer. If you meet her out and about, be kind and GIVE HER SOME GOOD SCOOP!

LITTEL ACRES TAKES OVER ROSES HEBRON AVE STAND

We have good news and so-so news...Littel Acres Farm Market (the stand on Griswold Street) is NOW OPEN at the old Roses Berry Farm stand on Hebron Avenue (Hours are random, so follow them on Facebook to ensure they are open). They will be offering pick-your-own strawberries, pumpkins, and hayrides. And they are only signed on for this season, so the future is uncertain. BOOOOOO!!! The land is actually owned by the Archdiocese (they own the cemetery next to the farm). Roses was leasing the land and now Littel Acres will do the same. STAY TUNED!
