Maura is a seasoned nurse practitioner and midwife with over a decade of experience caring for women. Her focus is integrative/holistic women’s healthcare including gentle gynecological care, thyroid health, hormone management (PMS, PCOS, fertility concerns, perimenopause/menopause), mind/mood concerns, and gut health. MAGNOLIA SOAP & BATH OPENS THIS WEEK
Magnolia Soap & Bath Co. is OPENING this Friday, May 3rd in the space next to ReStore Hyper Wellness near Chik-Fil-A. We are loving this new shop for its treasure land of delicious smelling soaps, lotions, candles, bath bombs and more! Owner, Leslie Giadone is a Glastonbury mom of three (worked at Buttonball before diving into this adventure). She is originally from a super small town in Mississippi (pop. 6,470)...where she first encountered Magnolia Soap & Bath Co. She loved it so much, she decided to open her own location. What's really neat about it is that almost ALL of their products are made on-site by Leslie and her team! Yes...you heard right...she hand mixes all of the soaps, lotions, scrubs, bath bombs, and steamers right in the back of the store. This little spot will be a go-to for gifts. It's literally for anyone: Moms, Men, Teachers, Nurses, Kids...anyone who needs to get clean or wants to smell nice = EVERYONE. All of their products are plant based and paraben and phthalate free, which means they are ok on sensitive skin! As part of their Grand Opening event, they are offering the first 50 customers daily FREE soap for a year when they spend $50!!!! Say what?! YES PUHLEASE!! There will also be giveaways and discounts, so get there...May 3rd to May 5th at 11:00 AM each day.
NEW RESTAURANT HIRING/GETTING READY TO OPEN
The all-new Social Lounge & Bar on the endcap next to Pure Barre will open fairly soon. We popped in last week and spoke to the owner and manager who told us they're currently hiring and waiting on their liquor license (that can sometimes get delayed). But as soon as they have those things in order, they will OPEN. They will be offering tapas style food and any kind of drink you can think up. We loved their extra-large bar and outdoor patio.
