Long time realtor, Peggy Foran got her start in real estate 30 years ago shortly after her son, Kieran, was born to have more flexibility with her schedule. To give you an idea of how much experience Peggy brings to the table...when she started, she was typing up contracts on a typewriter. Peggy now works as an agent for Berkshire Hathaway and is known for retaining clients, helping them again and again as their families grow and they move from home to home. We heard firsthand from one of her clients (unsolicited) about how much they love her. Peggy is a cautious dare devil (if there is such a thing). She hates flying, but when she went to Alaska 5 years ago, she flew in a vintage plane and landed on a glacier (YOU GO GIRL)! When she isn't traveling or helping her clients, you'll find her on the beach in Rhode Island.
This story sure is full circle, because more than 30 years after his mom went into real estate to make more time for herself as a mom, Kieran Foran joined the team! Kieran literally grew up showing houses. He remembers exploring homes as a toddler during open houses or private showings. The wonder he felt then stayed with him and he knew real estate was the right path. Kieran loves to travel and experience local foods along the way. Outside of work, you'll find him seeking out live entertainment (concerts, comedy, or sports) where he has actually met many of his clients!

THE BARN CO-WORKING SPACE OPENING DATE
It's always nice to see an old space made new! Renovations are near complete on The Barn (in the old Appalachian Tails). They have some super cool features: electric charging stations, Amazon hub lockers, state of the art conference rooms, sound proofing, an outdoor patio, and potentially a coffee shop inside. They are aiming to OPEN July 1st. We will have complete interior pics COMING SOON.
HAIR SALON TAKING OVER DELL'AERA SPACE
Amp Hair Studio is moving from their location on Glastonbury Boulevard to the old Salon Dell'Aera space at 730 Hebron Avenue. Sadly, Salon Dell'Aera closed down recently when their owner, Danny passed away. Amp Hair Studio is owned by Ashley Page. She started her own location in 2019 at the Phenix Salon Suites and has quickly outgrown her space. They are OPENING this July!

Hey! My name is Kate Savinelli and I’m a rising senior at the University of Maryland (College Park), earning a degree in multi-platform journalism with a minor in creative writing and a focus in criminology. I’m interning for “The Scoop” this summer, and I’m so excited at the opportunity to learn more about Glastonbury’s businesses and the surrounding area! I have taken multiple courses in photojournalism, media engagement, and poetry/fiction. The highlight of my college experience thus far was probably during the winter term of my sophomore year when I studied abroad in Oaxaca, Mexico, to gain a deeper understanding of culture as it impacts photography.
