PARENT TOT CLASS LAUNCHES IN S. GLASTONBURY/WETHERSFIELD

There is a new parent/toddler class starting this fall for 2 and 3 year-olds and their parents (or grandparents). It's called Parent-Tot and will be held at South Congregational Church on Main Street and at the United Methodist Church in Wethersfield. Vickie Anderson, a long-time child educator launched Parent-Tot this summer after retiring a couple of years ago as Director of the Preschool Program at First Church in Wethersfield. She is an absolute gem and does an amazing job facilitating this program for the littles. It will be an interactive class with multiple activities that encourage kids to participate in circle time, follow directions, explore and navigate, clean up, and engage with new friends. Vickie has seen the benefit of this program for kids…they have adapted more easily to their first Pre-K class and built confidence both socially and emotionally. Registration is already underway for the fall sessions with an Early Bird Discount before July 4th. Click HERE to sign up.

TAPAS NOW CONFIRMED IN OLD MULBERRY SPACE

Tapas from Bloomfield is opening a new TO-GO ONLY location in the old Mulberry space on Hebron Avenue. They are unsure about the future of their Bloomfield location (Trinity Health is planning to take over the entire plaza eventually). TAPAS TO GO is expected to open by the end of summer. The menu will be the same which we are so pumped for (it was one of our faves when they were in West Hartford). The TAPAS sign now in the window of the Glastonbury spot is the original sign from their very first location (so cool!).

NEW HIGH-END JEWELRY SHOWROOM NOW OPEN

De Rosa Fine Diamonds is the kind of showroom you might find in NYC! The vibe is exclusive and city-esque and we love evvvverything about it. We also loved meeting and chatting with the owners, Roberto and Cristina De Rosa. Roberto has been in the jewelry business since he was 14. He learned to set stones from his dad who still has a business in Rome working for high-end jewelers like BVLGARI and GUCCI. Cristina is originally from Wethersfield and the couple now lives locally with their three kids. Roberto's experience is truly one of a kind. In 2017, he was one of just 12 jewelers IN THE ENTIRE WORLD selected for the World Grand Master of Jewelers Program. It's a gathering where the BEST OF THE BEST share their knowledge and work. Roberto constructs (by hand) intricate, detailed creations for clients looking for everything from engagement and wedding bands to rare pieces (they showed us a few that were truly stunning!). Their new location above the shops in the Whole Foods plaza (it's the door next to the nail salon at the end) is BY APPOINTMENT ONLY! Find them HERE to get a first hand look at what they do and how they do it!
