THE INCREDIBLE STORY OF MADE U LOOK PROMOTIONS...DAD'S DAY WITH COTE GOLF

HERE’S THE SCOOP…

DECORATE YOUR BIZ FOR THE FOURTH WITH MADE U LOOK PROMOTIONS

1995 GHS grad, Mike Dupuis, started Made U Look Promotions in 2006 with the help of his good friend, Rob Tillberg. There were many twists and turns to how the business began, but essentially, Rob and his brother were running an incredibly successful balloon business in Florida and suggested Mike start one in Connecticut. So he did, albeit a little differently...he invented a new product for the balloons that became a game changer for his clients. If you see the balloons on a stick in front of many local businesses (Giovanni's, The Best Wine Shop in Town, The Diamond, among others), that was first introduced by Made U Look Promotions. So, how does it work? Businesses pay a monthly subscription for year round decor, including indoor and outdoor balloons, flags, and signs. You can even customize the products to include your own company logo. It's an easy way to make your business come to life without the hassle of doing it yourself. Think, SET IT AND FORGET IT. Back to Mike...his impressive leadership has allowed him to build an incredible team at Made U Look Promotions. He credits them for his success. Right now, they are offering a FREE two week trial for 4th of July decor! If you are a business owner looking to stand out, click HERE to learn more and tell them The Scoop sent you.

NEW ROCKETRY HOBBY STORE COMING TO S. GLASTONBURY!

Written by Katie Savinelli (our summer intern)

There's a new family-owned hobby store coming to South Glastonbury! Renovations are underway for Flight Sketch (across from Sayulita, in the old Carrie Draghi Photography space). They have been doing online sales for the last few years, but have become busy enough to open a brick and mortar. So, what is Flight Sketch? They are still evolving, but the main focus is on rocketry and electronic flying devices. They also have DIY model kits for all ages (yes, this is not just for kids… some rocket kits are pretty complex and can be used by all). There’s even GPS-equipped products that will allow you to track your models and even show you how high they fly (so high-tech!). Even better…they have done some work with Glastonbury High School's Rocketry Club. They hope to OPEN before the fall, likely towards late July/early August. Find them HERE to learn more about what they offer.
