HERE’S THE SCOOP…
BARIBAULT SISTERS BOOK RELATES, INSPIRES, AND MOTIVATES
What started as a hopeful “maybe someday” turned into a full-blown dream come true. Ignite Your Power Within isn’t just a book—it’s a movement. Glastonbury gals, sisters, and business owners, Chrissy Baribault Ortiz and Raeann Baribault Schwartz wrote it straight from the heart for women who are navigating the beautifully messy middle of life: the 30s, 40s, and 50s where everything shifts—hormones, identity, purpose, and perspective. Through honest stories, expert insights, and simple yet powerful tools, Chrissy and Raeann invite readers to reconnect with their joy, confidence, and sense of self. It’s part pep talk, part sister-to-sister soul session—real, raw, and refreshingly relatable. Their mission? To remind women that they are not alone, that vulnerability is strength, and that it’s never too late to reignite your spark. From managing “doing it all” to rediscovering purpose, Ignite Your Power Within is the guide every woman didn’t know she needed. Because when one woman finds her light, she inspires others to shine, too. Find your copy online HERE, everywhere books are sold online, at River Bend Bookshop, or for a limited time, in-store at Baribault Jewelers in Glastonbury.
P.S. If you're looking for an even more amazing way to connect with your tribe, register HERE for the Community Connection Event on October 22nd at Monaco Ford. Money raised from the event will go to Breast Friends Fund in honor of the late and fearless Sandy Cassanelli.
FARM MARKET PROPOSAL AT DONDEROS APPROVED
Town Plan & Zoning recently APPROVED the construction of a new barn and farm market at the Donderos location on Hebron Avenue (past Highland Park Market). The farmland is currently operated by Donderos and offers pick your own varieties of berries. The new barn will include a market and meals similar to what they do in South Glastonbury. We could not be more excited for this!!! A much-needed addition to this area of town. Stay tuned for an opening timeline and can't wait to see you there.

BERKSHIRE HATHAWAY TO THE OLD CONSTANTINE SPACE
We are hearing from multiple sources that Berkshire Hathaway Home Services is taking over a portion of the Station 35 Plaza...where Constantine's was located. The plaza has been getting a much-needed facelift, and we've heard from multiple people that BHHS will move to the plaza from their current location on Main Street. Stay tuned.

DO GOOD SCOOP...
SISTERS MISSION TO RAISE HOPE IN SPITE OF LUNG CANCER
After losing their beloved mom, Angela Marotta Inho, in 2022, sisters Allison and Jennifer Inho turned their grief into purpose by creating the Angela Marotta Inho Foundation. Angela was a loving mother, daughter, and sister....and a NON-SMOKER whose story reminds us that lung cancer can touch anyone. In just three years, the foundation has donated $100,000 (INCREDIBLE!!) to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, delivered dozens of care packages to patients, and hosted the annual Ang’s Warrior Walk, raising hope with every step. This November, they’re collecting items for Lung Cancer Awareness Care Packages—simple comforts like unscented chapstick, $25 grocery gift cards, puzzle books, and hand warmers for patients in treatment. Donations can be dropped off or mailed to: 30 Clovercrest Road in Wethersfield by November 7 (assembly on November 12).
ODDS & ENDS...
*Sponsored by OnPointe Fitness & Performance
*FAQ: The Gallery: We are hearing that the closing for the sale of The Gallery to the owners of two new restaurants that are expected to go in there is at the end of October. We are unsure yet if the new owners will start construction right way. Marketplace Hospitality Group has A LOT of new projects currently happening, so it could be a bit before they start Glastonbury. Let's all cross our fingers and hope they start soon. We are tired of staring at that rundown old building.
*Two of our faves, Eric from OnPointe Fitness & Performance and Amanda from Swan Integrative Health & Wellness are holding a workshop for women to learn more about the importance of strength training no matter your age! The workshop is November 13th at 6:00 PM. To register, click HERE.
