GLASTONBURY COUPLE LOOKING TO RENT OUT EASTHAMPTON COMMERCIAL SPACE...PLUS, CHANGE OF USE FOR HOUSE ON NAUBUC

HERE’S THE SCOOP…

GLASTONBURY COUPLE LOOKING TO FILL EASTHAMPTON OFFICE AND COMMERCIAL SPACE

Kateryna Cherkasov and her husband, Dmitriy have been business partners for the last decade, growing their portfolio from retail ownership into commercial real estate. The Glastonbury couple owns and manages the below properties in East Hampton and are looking for new tenants who want to grow their own business.

-The first is so super quaint...and has a ton of potential but is also move-in ready. It's a former liquor store offering 1,000 square feet of bright and open space. It includes a walk-in fridge, half bath, and basement storage. There was prior drive through access that can be reinstated. We have a zillion ideas...coffee shop, liquor store (with drive through...does that exist here?!), bookstore, toy store...the list goes on and on. This might be the next spot of your biggest dream come true.

-Also available is this centrally located plaza with office and medical space that is across from Lake Pocotopaug and close to town. There is a second-floor office space with reception area, kitchenette, half bath and two offices that would be great for an attorney, accountant, therapist, and more.

-The medical office features seven exam rooms, reception area, lab, two baths, and a break room/kitchen. Great option for doctors, med spas, or the ever-growing wellness centers. For more info on all of these great opportunities, reach out to Kateryna: 513.498.6588 and tell her The Scoop sent you!

APPROVAL FOR AGNELLI REAL ESTATE HOUSE CHANGE OF USE

Local businessman, George Agnelli sought to change over the house at 411 Naubuc Avenue from office space to jewelry repair. He currently runs a jewelry sales and repair business in East Hartford and would like to move the business to Glastonbury. The property is not zoned for retail sales but does allow for jewelry repair as a personal service use. Town Plan & Zoning unanimously approved the proposal and was OK with allowing there to be a small area inside the space to display jewelry for sale. The only other change to the exterior would be new signage.

GUTT FARM BACK THIS YEAR

We were super excited to see that Gutt Farm on Addison Road will return this year in spite of a proposal to build a housing complex on their property. They didn't announce it exactly, but they posted on their Facebook page and all the comments indicated they are opening again this year. We reported a few months back about this housing development that would bring 128 luxury apartments to the property. There is currently concern from a neighborhood group about traffic and school redistricting. The proposed development is still making its way through the approval process.

ANYONE ELSE SAD ABOUT THIS?

We have been SO sad watching the solar farm being constructed on the old farm property on Hebron Avenue. The Catholic Church actually owns this and is leasing the land. We will miss the gorgeous view of the farm coming over the hill heading away from downtown...OY VEY!
