SOAP STORE COMING TO CHIK-FIL-A PLAZA: Magnolia Soap & Bath Co. is going into the final remaining space in the fourth building of the plaza near Chik-Fil-A. The building includes Restore Hyper Wellness and The Good Feet Store as well. Magnolia is a chain with 37 locations throughout the U.S. We are hearing this will be opened by a Glastonbury family. Can't wait to check it out!
FORMER HITCHCOCK PROPERTY FOR SALE: The old Hitchcock Furniture property behind Mermaid Pools and The Barn off Griswold Street recently went up for sale by order of the Bankruptcy Court. Offers were due July 31st and were subject to approval by the court. We have so many ideas for this spot, but we will just wait patiently to see what unfolds!
RESTORE WELLNESS SIGNAGE UP: We reported awhile back that Restore Hyper Wellness would be one of the businesses going into the 4th building near Chik-Fil-A. They now have their sign up and interior renos are underway. They offer cryotherapy, red light therapy, drip therapy and more. Stay tuned.
NEW MEXICAN EATERY TO FORMER MOE'S SPACE: Baja Fresh Grill is coming soon to the former Moe's space next to Verizon. This is a national chain and we hear great things from those who have tried. Stay tuned for an opening date!
STRETCHLAB TO WHOLE FOODS PLAZA: StretchLab is coming to the space next to OrangeTheory in the Whole Foods plaza. This is a stretch and flexibility studio with locations across the country. We kind of dig their tagline: Don't just stretch - Get stretched. We will let you know a timeline for this ASAP.
BEEM LIGHT SAUNA TO FORMER SARTORIUS SPORTS: Who doesn't love the sauna?! Nothing better than a good detox after a workout (or on a weekend AM after some cocktails, right?!). Anywhoo...beem LIGHT SAUNA will offer all kinds of sauna experiences. They are locally owned and hope to open by the end of October/early November. They're currently selling founding memberships.
GLASTONBURY OPTICIANS NEXT TO DAYBREAK SOLD: The optometry business next to Daybreak Coffee in Downtown G has sold to new owners. One of them is a Glastonbury resident! Dr. John Nedelcu of Glastonbury and Dr. Lauren Colite of West Hartford are also the owners of West End Eyecare in Hartford. Glastonbury Eyecare will be their second location.
