HERE’S THE SCOOP…
DR. GOODSELL'S PRIMARY CARE IS ACCESSIBLE & PREVENTION FOCUSEDÂ
Dr. Jeffrey Goodsell loves taking care of people. It's actually what led him to where
he is today. Dr. Goodsell, a primary care doctor and owner of Fireside Primary Care,
practices in the MDVIP membership-based model of care. It's a unique approach that allows him to: 1. Offer more time with patients. 2. Create a customized plan of care. 3. Be there for them when they need it most. That means same-day or next-day
appointments, no rushed visits, and plenty of time to talk about what really matters
to you. He is also available after hours for urgent matters. One of his favorite stories
involves a patient who was hiking in Denali and sent him a photo of a bullseye rash after
a trip to Nova Scotia. After talking to them, he was able to get them treated quickly
and back to their vacation without a trip to Urgent Care. Another plus of this type of
primary care practice is their dedication to PREVENTION (YES!!!). Each patient in the practice takes part in an annual wellness program that includes extensive screening tests and advanced cardiovascular assessments. We love that Dr. Goodsell and his wife Margaret (he credits her for his success) live and work locally in town. Fireside Primary Care will soon have their physical location up and running on Oak Street in Glastonbury. The couple have four kids and spend time serving in their church, hiking, taking road trips to historic sites and playing music. The doctor plays piano, organ, euphonium and even handbells, while Margaret and the kids keep things lively with the clarinet, cello, drums, and more (So much talent!). If you're looking for a primary care doctor who will treat you like family, visit mdvip.com/Scoop to join the practice.
