GLASTONBURY HOT YOGA HOLDING FRIDAY OPEN HOUSE
The new hot yoga studio OPENS this weekend! Glastonbury Hot Yoga is owned by Glastonbury residents, Alec and Sophia Medeiros. Alec is a GHS graduate. The two met at Bikram Yoga class (go figure!). They got married and moved to Florida for work, but recently moved back to be closer to family. Their passion for hot yoga led them to this new venture. They have put so much into making their studio the kind of place that will help clear your mind and strengthen your body. An infrared heating system with panels in the ceiling has been installed. It heats you directly and feels like sunshine on your skin. We love the meaning of their LOGO, which is a red and blue barn swallow. The bird represents hope, love, joy, protection, and peace. This Friday, April 29th from 12:00 to 7:00 PM, they are holding an OPEN HOUSE. Pop in to see the space, meet the teachers, and get complimentary massages. Plus, there will be 10% off all apparel, a raffle for yoga gear and chance to win a FREE month of classes. They will be officially OPEN the following day, April 30th at 8:00 AM. POKE DON TIMELINE
The sign is now up for the new Poke Don next to Sweet Frog in Glastonbury and they are expected to OPEN Mid-May. This will be their second location. They have one in Manchester as well. We are looking forward to welcoming owner, Alan Zhao, to the Glastonbury community. If you don't know...Poke originated in Hawaii and is a cubed, marinated sushi-grade fish. It's typically served with rice and Asian-style sauces. Click HERE to see their menu.

We will be set up out front and have bundles of locally grown flowers from 7 Acres Flower Farm and Alex Ustach of Art by Sharkfang, coffee from Drumroll Coffee Roasters (roasted just across the river in Old Wethersfield), LIVE music from Chris Newell, and raffle prizes for anyone who makes a purchase that day (including $100 to Sayulita and $100 to 2 Hopewell).
