The story of DeRosa Fine Diamonds begins in Italy where owner, Roberto DeRosa grew up watching his father, a master jeweler in Rome, work alongside many famous designers. Roberto was just 13 when he started working with his father and slowly learned the mindful and patient craft of customizing jewelry. He has since become a certified gemologist and was recognized by the Grand Masters, one of the most prestigious honors in the world. Roberto and Cristina met in Italy in 2009, later married, and now live locally (hoping to soon be in Glastonbury since their shop is here). They started this business out of their basement. It grew organically through family and friends and then to friends of friends and acquaintances (A true from the ground up building of the business through word of mouth...LOVE!). Now they offer a uniquely customized one-on-one experience curating only the finest quality diamonds, gemstones, and metals (Roberto's eye for exquisite is next level). They have designed everything from engagement rings to heirloom and modern pieces. The two are gems themselves...truly the sweetest couple. They love helping their clients make meaningful memories. This THURSDAY, MAY 9th from 6:oo to 8:00 PM is our 'Cocktails & Carats' event with them. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. SOUTH GLASTONBURY MARINA SOLD TO NEW OWNERS
The former Seaboard Marina on Tryon Street in S. Glastonbury SOLD during an auction last week. Exclusive Development from Newington bought the property for $1.3 million. We hear they plan to have it open this season and eventually rehab it. Fingers crossed for food!! They don't close until May 28th. There will be more details to come when that happens. NEW PERUVIAN RESTAURANT NOW OPEN IN HARTFORD
There is a new Peruvian restaurant NOW OPEN in Hartford and they are jammin'. Mancora Peruvian Restobar is in the old Costa Del Sol on Wethersfield Avenue. It's been filled with lots of celebrations ever since they opened in April. They offer authentic Peruvian dishes. We have never had Peruvian and can't wait to try!
