FLOWER & TWINE'S GIFTS AND FLOWERS ARE SUPER UNIQUE AND FUN
The adorable little florist, Flower & Twine, that recently opened in the house at 548 New London Turnpike is now offering complete celebration packages! We are obsessing over their Blooms & Books package that includes an arrangement with a book from one of their makers, Blind Date with a Book. This adorbs little shop is more than just flowers with unique gift ideas, plants, a Bloom Bar held on the weekends, and now balloons. If you've been curious, but didn't know, Flower & Twine is a WALK-IN LOCATION! She offers floral bouquets, arrangements, boutonnieres, corsages, and now balloons. The owner, Kerin, is kind and uber passionate about her work. She has curated a Makers Market that is swoon-worthy. We were loving the stunning handcrafted cards and paper, the one-of-a-kind jewelry, and mirror ball keychains. We mentioned this before, but Kerin was one of thousands...THOUSANDS...of floral artists chosen to decorate the White House for the holidays last year. NUTMEG STATE CREDIT UNION EXPANDING THE DMV EXPRESS SERVICES
The DMV Express is now being run by Nutmeg State. The location closed temporarily after AAA (which was operating the DMV) concluded operations at the credit union on House Street. Nutmeg will now operate the DMV. Services will remain the same with minor adjustments including hours of operation. Updated signage will also be installed in the coming weeks to reflect the transition. OOA (Out of Area): FOXWOODS GETTING A NEW VIRUAL REALITY THEME PARK
There is an interesting new concept coming to Foxwood Resort Casinos. BEE VR Theme Park will open their second location there by the end of this year. They opened their first one in Caribou, Maine in August. The Foxwoods location will be much larger and offer more. The experience includes VR rides and an immersive environment with games such as laser tag and escape rooms - kind of like an arcade on steroids! Look for them to be up and running by the end of 2025.
