THE HISTORY OF GLASTONBURY DENTAL...PLUS, THIS BELOVED NAIL SALON IS TAKING OVER YOJI SPACE

*NEW AD ALERT*

We are excited to announce our partnership with Magnum Homes...our go-to home and business renovation company. We recently featured their team in one of our Monday Scoops (see the story HERE). They are THE ABSOLUTE BEST!

HERE’S THE SCOOP…

*There is some confusion about what is happening with Zinneken's Belgian Waffles. For some reason, people believe they are closing, but THEY ARE NOT! We posted an article a few weeks back about how it is FOR SALE...NOT CLOSING! Please refer to that article HERE.

GLASTONBURY DENTAL'S LONG AND STORIED HISTORY IN TOWN

We love a 'from the ground up' story when it comes to business. There is nothing braver to us than laying it all out on the table and taking a chance on something you believe in.

Dr. Marc Scoles began practicing in 1976 with dental equipment he purchased from a bank who had repossessed it from someone who had gone bankrupt. In those days you couldn't advertise, so he put up a sign out front and an article in the newspaper that said 'NEW DENTIST IN TOWN' and waited for the phone to ring. On a wing and a prayer, right?! About four years in, Dr. Scoles merged offices with Dr. Gary Garwood to create Glastonbury Dental Associates in its current location on New London Turnpike. Dr. Jonathan Susat eventually joined them as a partner and the practice continued to grow. Sadly, Dr. Garwood passed in 2003 after a long battle with Lymphoma. Just a couple of years after that is when Dr. Scoles son, Matt came on board. They now have two additional dentists, Dr. Julia Karpman (UConn Dental School grad, first generation American) and Dr. Elyse Sudhoff (Glastonbury born and raised and UConn Dental School grad) for a total of five dentists offering state-of-the-art dental care. They have the most up-to-date technology to help diagnose and treat dental issues, an on-staff Endodontist who performs all root canals, and expertise in Invisalign and Sleep Dentistry. With more than four decades of patient care under their belts, the team at Glastonbury Dental Associates has built a practice based on honesty and integrity. Their experience, knowledge, and warmth toward their patients (many come from multiple generations) shows in their day-to-day business. Find out more about them HERE or call for an appointment: 860.633.3671

SPA POINTE TO OPEN SECOND LOCATION

Spa Pointe is taking over the old YOJI space. The owner, Mihee, opened her first location a few years ago in the plaza near the second rotary in town. Her new location will be called Spa Pointe Too. She thinks they will open in about a month, but we will keep you posted. We love her and are so happy for all of her success!
