CARINI'S BERRY FARM SOLD
Big news on a story we first reported back in January of 2019. Carini's Berry Farm has sold to a developer out of West Hartford. This is the same developer that initially showed interest in the land 3 years ago. They had put forth a proposal for a new subdivision with 19 homes. It's unclear if this same plan is in the works, but we will keep you posted on what's to come.
FOUNDER OF BARE LIFE COMING TO WHOLE FOODS
Connecticut-based hot cocoa company Bare Life is partnering with local Whole Foods and ShopRite stores to offer in-store demonstrations/tastings of their gluten and dairy free hot cocoa. Founder, Ali Lazowksi will be at the Glastonbury Whole Foods February 26th from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Ali's story is super inspiring. She went from being bed ridden and in chronic pain due to severe food allergies to developing her allergen-free hot cocoa. She went on to launch a super successful company. You go girl! Pizza Pie/Gyro Love is NOW OPEN next to Jersey Mike's on Main Street Glastonbury. The Mediterranean/American fusion style restaurant offers nearly everything you can imagine from gyros and pizza to wings and sandwiches. We are hearing GREAT things! Let us know if you check them out.

*Berkins Blend is opening another location inside The Wadsworth Atheneum. Berkins on Main will be the third location for Andrea Hawkins and Doug Barber. They started their coffee shop in Glastonbury and expanded to a second location on Oak Street in Hartford. Congrats Andrea and Doug!
