Wouldn't it be so great if, when you went to a health care professional, they took a comprehensive approach to your health and didn't jump immediately to meds to help whatever ails you? Well....WE HAVE SOMEONE WHO DOES THAT! Amanda Swan of Swan Integrative started her own practice in 2016 and has been on a straight up trajectory ever since. Why? Because people LOVE what she does. Her "holistic mixed with conventional" approach to healthcare is clearly in demand. It's so popular that Amanda was forced to start a waiting can now become a new patient in her practice with the addition of Maura Aaberg...a women's health nurse practitioner and midwife. MAURA. IS. AWESOME. We met with her personally to get a better understanding of her philosophy's a goodie. Her vast background in women's health includes a full scope of nursing: prenatal, intrapartum, postpartum, and gynecological care, along with fertility, mind/mood, thyroid, hormonal imbalance, perimenopause, and menopause. She loves the idea that integrative medicine focuses on PREVENTION and WELLNESS. Maura is an incredible listener and has also been through a lot of what she practices. She is originally from New York but is quite enamored with Glastonbury and the beautiful farms. She told us she feels like she is living in a fairytale (YUP!). FUN FACT: She has caught, YES CAUGHT, more than 1,000 babies during birth. If you're interested in having Maura as your new healthcare provider, call 860.325.2679 or email If you mention The Scoop, you will get 50% off top quality Swan Supplements and a FREE tote bag.
